The Bureau of Customs-Port of Aparri (BOC-Port of Aparri), in collaboration with the Philippine Air Force (PAF), organized a virtual Governance Sharing activity on 04 November 2021.

In line with the Performance Governance System (PGS) initiatives of the Bureau of Customs, the Port of Iloilo through its Local Office for Strategy Management (OSM) organized a governance and best practice sharing with the 61st Infantry (Hunter) Battalion of the Philippine Army (PA) on October 29, 2021 at the Iloilo Customhouse, Iloilo City.

Following the successful preliminary activities and connectivity testing, the Philippines has been given the green light by ASEAN to join other ASEAN Member States (AMS) in the electronic exchange of the ASEAN Customs Declaration Document (ACDD) in November 2021.

In its effort to further promote and enhance ease of doing business, the Bureau of Customs-Port of NAIA (BOC-NAIA) headed by District Collector Carmelita M. Talusan met with DHL Express Philippines on November 02, 2021.

The Bureau of Customs – Port of Davao has implemented the use of body-worn cameras (BWCs) and alternative recording devices in its operations according to Customs Memorandum Order (CMO) 33- 2021.

The Bureau of Customs-Port of Legazpi Customs Border Protection Team (CBPT) District V, in a joint operation with Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) – Sorsogon intercepted a one wing van – truck of used clothing, commonly known as “UKAY-UKAY” at Matnog Port, Sorsogon on November 1, 2021. Based on the sales invoice found, the used clothing was transported from Mindanao, Avenue, Quezon City, and bound for Davao City.

In addressing the health and safety of its frontliners, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of NAIA, being the 1st Certified National Government Agency (Non-LGU, Non-Health) to host a vaccination program, conducted its 4th “RESBAKUNA sa Bureau of Customs NAIA” COVID-19 Vaccination Program for our frontliners on November 06, 2021, in partnership with the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) and the Department of Health (DOH), at the Bureau of Customs-NAIA in Pasay City, Manila.

The Bureau of Customs – Port of Tacloban, in partnership with the Eastern Visayas Medical Center (EVMC) and the Philippine Army – 8th Infantry Division (PA-8ID) conducted a virtual Governance Sharing on October 29, 2021.

As part of its good governance, the Port of Subic conducted its training on 2017 Omnibus Rules on Appointments and Other Human Resource Actions (2019 Edition) on October 27, 2021. It was attended by thirty-eight (38) personnel from Port of Subic, and another twelve (12) personnel from other ports.

Consistent in intensifying the anti-illegal drug campaign of the Bureau of Customs under the leadership of Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero, the Port of Clark, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Enforcement and Security Service (ESS) – Customs Anti-Illegal Drug Task Force (CAIDTF) and Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS), foiled another smugglers’ attempt to import illegal drugs as it intercepted 9,917 and approximately 31 broken tablets of Ecstasy or “party drugs” worth Php 16,911,600.00 last November 3, 2021.
