The Bureau of Customs (BOC) clarified to the public, that there is no truth to the recent statement of Mr. Reynaldo “Bepoy” Galeno that is circulating on social media.

In its continuous pursuit of good governance, the Port of Batangas shared best practices with the Internal Administration Group and Port of Limay on 15 November 2021.

The Bureau of Customs-Port of Cagayan de Oro successfully seized anew five containers of smuggled red onions in a spot-check inspection on November 18, 2021, at MICTSI container yard.

On account of the directive of the Commissioner of Customs to be vigilant in protecting the borders against the entry of smuggled goods, the Bureau of Customs – Port of Subic seized smuggled agricultural products with an estimated value of Php 66 million on November 18, 2021.

On 12 November 2021, the USAID ASEAN Policy Implementation (API) Project together with representatives from the Bureau of Customs (BOC) Office of the Commissioner (OCOM), Management Information System and Technology Group (MISTG), and Public Information and Assistance Division (PIAD), conducted a kick-off meeting to implement all activities stated in the NSW Public Awareness Campaign Program developed by the BOC, in close coordination with the National Single Window (NSW) Project Team. These activities are designed to raise awareness on the NSW and ASEAN Single Window (ASW) initiatives and to promote its benefits as drivers of trade facilitation and cross-border paperless trade.

To further strengthen the relationship and establish a deeper understanding between the agency and its stakeholders, the Chamber of Customs Brokers Inc. (CCBI) initiated an online forum in coordination with BOC through the Manila International Container Port (MICP) last November 12, 2021. The virtual conference also served as a platform to address congestion in the said Port.

To provide for the integration of the Automated Inventory Management System (AIMS) to the Bureau’s Electronic-to-Mobile (E2M) Raw Materials Liquidation System (RMLS), the Bureau of Customs (BOC) issued Customs Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 34-2021 with the subject “Implementation of RMLS in the E2M System of the Bureau”.

In support of the transformation program of the Commissioner of Customs to make the Bureau closer and more accessible to the public, the Bureau of Customs-Port of Legazpi conducted another webinar on customs policies and operations entitled “Customs Procedures & Practices and Forum” on November 15, 2021.

The Bureau of Customs Port of NAIA (BOC-NAIA) and NAIA-Inter-agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG), on November 16, 2021 apprehended the claimant of Php 3.3 Million worth of ecstasy tablets in Taytay, Rizal.

The Bureau of Customs (BOC), through the Port of Manila-District Office (POM-DO), Intellectual Property Rights Division–Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (IPRD-CIIS) under the Intelligence Group, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and the Armed Forces of the Philippines, implemented the Letter of Authority (LOA) issued by Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero against warehouses located at the 7th floor QQ Mall, Quiapo, Manila on November 15, 2021.
