The Japan Customs, in close cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), organized an online Workshop on “Customs Modernization for the Philippine Customs” on November 16-18, 2021.
During the three-day Workshop, Japan Customs discussed capacity building practices on Customs Modernization, Human Resource and Training Development, and Chemical Analysis. These topics are in line with the Bureau’s development of the Philippine Customs Training Institute and re-establishment of the Philippine Customs Laboratory.
For many years, Japan Customs has provided the Philippine Customs with technical assistance through JICA’s Technical Cooperation Program. Commissioner Guerrero extended his gratitude to Japan Customs and JICA. “Their continued support is truly instrumental in our constant pursuit of a more effective and efficient Customs Administration,” he said.
