Brief Narrative (November 5-9, 2018)

For the period November 5-9, 2018, Bureau of Customs, Port of Legazpi, had recorded at total of eight (8) entries, six (6) of which are completed entries assessed with a total duties and taxes of Php6,802,211.00 from, to wit:

Three (3) formal entries consigned to –

Goodfound Cement Corporation with a shipment of 8,786MT of Coal via BG “Palladium”

Davao Multibuild Corp. with a shipment of 5,000MT of Cement via MV “Phoung Nam 68”

National Food Authority with a shipment of 7,800MT of Rice via MV “Nordana Malee”

There is also one (1) completed export entry from Philippine Gold Processing and Refining Corp. (PGPRC) consisting of nineteen (19) boxes of Gold Dore weighing 324.05kgs., for shipment to Switzerland.

Further, four (4) informal entry was processed at Postal Legazpi and Naga assessed in the amount of Php15,977.00.

Significant Events/Activities:

November 5, 2018: District Collector Arsenia C. Ilagan attended the MOA signing at Police Regional Office 5 Camp General Simeon A. Ola, Legazpi City after the flag raising ceremony last Monday. This was the response of the PNP Region V, together with concerned agencies one of which is the Bureau of Customs, in line with the bombing in the Port of Masbate last August 1, 2018. The different government agencies agreed to embody a Memorandum of Agreement that specifies the responsibilities of each agency in order to ensure that Port security measures are effectively implemented in the Bicol region.
