The Bureau of Customs (BOC) through the BOC – Port of Davao, in coordination with local authorities, successfully intercepted 251 master cases of smuggled cigarettes valued at PhP9.861 million.
As part of the Bureau of Customs’ (BOC) intensified efforts to strengthen border protection, the BOC, through the Collection District III (NAIA), in coordination with the Enforcement and Security Service (ESS) and the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS), apprehended two passengers carrying undeclared foreign currency amounting to PhP24,204,438.71 on January 22 and 23, 2025, at NAIA Terminal 3, Pasay City.

The Bureau of Customs-Ninoy Aquino International Airport (BOC-NAIA) intercepted 14,396 grams of Methamphetamine Hydrochloride, or shabu, valued at PhP97,892,800 at NAIA Terminal 3 on January 16, 2025.
As part of its strengthened border protection efforts, the Bureau of Customs Ninoy Aquino International Airport (BOC-NAIA), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG), intercepted cocaine worth PhP24,242,200 at NAIA Terminal 3 on January 9, 2025.
In line with its commitment to rigorously enforce customs laws and regulations, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) seized significant volume of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) infringing goods, discovered in storage units in Pasay City last October 2024.
In an operation on January 6, 2025, the Bureau of Customs-Ninoy Aquino International Airport (BOC-NAIA), in close coordination with the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (IADITG), intercepted approximately 10,706 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as shabu.
Through intensified profiling and x-ray scanning, the Bureau of Customs – Port of Clark successfully intercepted four (4) pouches of Methamphetamine Hydrochloride, commonly known as “Shabu,” valued at PhP2.652 million. The subject shipment, originating from the United States, was declared as “Gift Items Coffee Bags (Variety), Candy or Snacks.”
The Bureau of Customs (BOC) strongly condemns the circulation of a fraudulent Memorandum purportedly dated November 21, 2024, which falsely claims the implementation of a mandatory cash bond for new importers. The uncovered falsification of document, which was deliberately made to appear as one issued by the Office of the Commissioner, is a dire attempt to mislead the public and undermine the integrity of the BOC’s operations, not mention concomitant swindling schemes against gullible and unsuspecting transacting stakeholders.
