The Bureau of Customs – Port of Clark, under the leadership of District Collector Atty. Ricardo Uy Morales II, CESE, remains firm in its mandate to combat illegal drug smuggling.

As part of the intensified joint operation of the Bureau of Customs-Legazpi through its Customs Border Protection Team (CBPT) and the Philippine Coast Guard-Sorsogon, a total of 42 bales of ‘Ukay-Ukay’ with an estimated market value of Php 500,000 were intercepted on different occasions while conducting paneling of buses and other vehicles at Matnog, Sorsogon.

A team from the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and the Department of Agriculture (DA) uncovered P35 million worth of spoiled assorted meat products in a warehouse in Meycauayan, Bulacan on July 11, 2023.

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Cebu uncovered smuggled white onions concealed in a shipment of “kimchi” from China with an estimated value of Php998,700.00.

The Bureau of Customs-Port of Clark, under the leadership of District Collector Atty. Ricardo Uy Morales II, CESE, together with the Customs Anti-Illegal Drugs Task Force (CAIDTF), X-ray Inspection Project (XIP), and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), seized P4.347 million worth of Shabu last July 3, 2023.

Consistent to its mandate in protecting the borders against prohibited drugs, the BOC Port of Clark, under the leadership of District Collector Ricardo Uy Morales II, CESE, uncovered 614 grams of Shabu with an estimated value of P4.237 million concealed inside two oven toasters last June 27, 2023.
