As part of the efforts of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) to further enhance capabilities and improve border protection, the BOC Port of Limay on November 5, 2021 signed a Memorandum of Agreement for the establishment and institutionalization of the 1Bataan Inter-Agency Action Center (1Bataan-IAAC).
The MOA signing was held at the Multi-Purpose Covered Court of Camp Tolentino, Capitol Compound, Balanga City, Bataan and was attended by the BOC Limay District Collector Atty. William B. Balayo, Bataan Provincial Governor Hon. Albert S. Garcia, Police Regional Office 3, Regional Director PBGEN Valeriano T. De Leon, and Northern Luzon Command AFP, Commander LTGEN Arnulfo Marcelo B. Burgos, Jr.
The MOA stipulates for the quick and rapid response to public health and safety emergencies as well as suppression of crimes, insurgencies, and threats.
The MOA between the BOC and the 1Bataan-IAAC truly embodies the Bureau’s commitment to provide efficient customs service to every Filipino.
The Bureau of Customs (BOC) under the leadership of Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero and the Port of Limay headed by District Collector Atty. William B. Balayo, remain committed in providing efficient customs service to every Filipino, and will continue to undertake reforms, initiatives, and programs to improve performance of mandates.
