The Bureau of Customs’ (BOC) personnel attended a seminar on the Principles of Chemical Management that marked a significant milestone in fostering collaboration and enhancing the competency of the agency in the realm of chemical management.

The BOC in partnership with the Dupont Philippines held a seminar on October 4, 2023, at the Podium West Tower to bridge the gap between the Bureau of Customs and the private sector, making the agency more responsive and accountable to its stakeholders.

Through collaborative initiatives, attendees explored various aspects of chemical management, including an Introduction to the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS).

One of the key highlights of the seminar was the BOC’s opportunity to discuss the challenges it faces in the importation of chemicals. The insights shared during the seminar will play a pivotal role in streamlining processes and ensuring the safety and efficiency of chemical trade.
