BOC-Clark lauded by PDEA for a remarkable achievement on Drug Apprehensions

The Bureau of Customs and Port of Clark was recognized by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region III last May 4, 2022 for its remarkable achievement on the interception of 16 drug shipments equivalent to Php 48,702,443.28 worth of illegal drugs and illicit substances in 2021.

Consistent to the anti-illegal drugs campaign of the Bureau of Customs under the leadership of Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero and the war on drugs of President Rodrigo Duterte, the Port of Clark led by District Collector Alexandra Lumontad, continues to reinforce and strictly implement measures to prevent the entry of illegal drugs in the country. From January to April this year, the port already recorded seizure of 19 drug shipments with an estimated value of Php58-million.

During the recognition, Collector Lumontad received the Plaque of Recognition from PDEA RO3 Regional Director Bryan B. Babang, Assistant Regional Director Martin R. Francia and Chief CRK-IADITG Joseph L. Samson. Customs Examiners, CAIDTF, Intelligence, Enforcement and other key personnel having significant contribution on the seizures were also recognized by PDEA.
