BOC-Clark Intensifies Campaign Against Illegal Drugs, Holds Coordination Meeting with PDEA

Bureau of Customs – Port of Clark District Collector, Atty. Ricardo Uy Morales II, CESE, initiated a coordination meeting with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office III on July 18, 2023, as part of Port of Clark’s commitment to intensify measures against illegal drug smuggling.

Present in the meeting were officers from PDEA Region III, headed by Regional Director Ronald Allan DG. Ricardo, Assistant Regional Director Gils Salamanca, FedEx Composite Unit OIC Jason Pagala, and the members of the Customs Anti-illegal Drugs Task Force (CAIDTF) of the Port of Clark.

The meeting addressed measures to further intensify coordination between the two agencies, improve and simplify procedures on illegal drug interdiction, and strengthen intelligence and profiling capabilities of frontline personnel.

PDEA Regional Director Ricardo commended the Port of Clark and District Collector Morales for their numerous accomplishments in terms of illegal drug seizures and expressed continuous support to the agency.

District Collector Morales recognized the consistent cooperation and coordination of PDEA in reinforcing the border protection measures of the Port of Clark.

“In line with the directives of Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio, the Port of Clark remains firm in strictly implementing laws and regulations for the safety and security of the public, and we thank PDEA for being one of our major partners in enforcing border protection measures here in Clark,” District Collector Morales said.
