The Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Cebu is thrilled to announce its active participation in the Central Visayas Investment Assistance Officers Network (CVIAN), a dynamic inter-agency technical working group envisioned by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). This collaborative initiative aims to bolster the business and investment climate in the Central Visayas Region by fostering inter-agency networking for investments promotion and front-line investment facilitation for potential and existing investors.

In recognition of the BOC-Cebu’s pivotal role in facilitating trade in the Central Visayas Region, CVIAN took its first strides towards success as it held an Investment Promotion Capacity Building Workshop for Central Visayas at Harold’s Evotel in Lahug, Cebu City on 28 July 2023.

BOC-Cebu Acting District Collector Ciriaco DG Ugay delivered an insightful presentation, shedding light on the import and export clearance processes and procedures implemented at the Port. Collector Ugay also expressed the Port’s wholehearted commitment and unwavering support in actively contributing to the success of this transformative initiative.

This endeavor aligns perfectly with our mission to streamline customs processes and provide top-notch customs service to our stakeholders. We believe that by collaborating with our partner agencies, we can create a thriving business ecosystem to solidify Central Visayas as a strategic and premier investment destination in the country,” said Collector Ugay.
