BRIEFER: 20-25 NOVEMBER 2017 AT THE POM

 

In summary, the Port of Manila processed 9,090 Entries – ranging from Transshipment, Warehousing, Export, Formal and Informal – generally for the period of 20-25 November 2017, among which 83 containers containing Balikbayan boxes were processed.

 

There was no Warrant of Seizure Detention (WSD) issued by the Law Division and no Alert Order issued.  There was no Auctioned for the said period while there are twenty-two (22) lots scheduled for auction for this week.

 

Formal Entry Division

 

Additional five (5) computers were cabled and connected to the E2M.  Also, computers recently connected to the E2M are being downloaded with Google Chrome so that they can also be used to update the SVS.

 

Screensaver

 

The screensaver, which is played not only in the SVS kiosks but also in the lobby LCD TV, was further enhanced, among which is the updating of its marquee notice that POM will be open to serve the transacting public on 30 November 2017.  

 

Redesigned Complaint and Suggestion Boxes

 

The Complaint and Suggestion Boxes have been redesigned to feature, among others, a transparent window, forms pocket and display of pertinent information.   The transparent window will enable POM to immediately see if there are any comments, suggestions or complaints dropped in the Complaint and Suggestion boxes, thereby allowing it also to immediately act on the matter.  Around eight of the redesigned Complaint and Suggestion Boxes have already been deployed.

 

Holy Masses

 

Holy Masses were celebrated at the POM lobby on 22 and 24 November 2017.

 

 

 

GREEN THUMB: POM’s Environmental Initiative

 

Additional plants were introduced, including patches of grass in the hope of propagating and eventually covering the entire garden.

 

Port Visit

 

On 21 November 2017, M/S World Dream of Genting Hong Kong Ltd. made its maiden port call at the Port of Manila.

 

POM Facebook Page

 

The POM Facebook page was updated with its new posts, among which is the notice to the public that POM will be open on 30 November 2017.
