BRIEFER: 19-24 JUNE AT THE POM

In sum, the Port of Manila processed a total of 6,279 entries – ranging from Transshipment, Warehousing, Export, Formal and Informal – generally for the period of 19 – 24 June 2017, among which 52 Balikbayan boxes were processed.

No Warrant of Seizure and Detention (WSD) was issued by the Law Division. There were no auction proceedings for the said period, however, 10 shipments indicated in the report are scheduled for auction on 30 June 2017.

During the regular flag ceremony, Certificates of Commendation were given to the divisions for reaching collection target for May 2017. Also, the members of the Composite Unit for Passengers and Baggage Clearance were cited for their exemplary performance during the visit of M/V Superstar Virgo Cruise Ship. And Mr. Joselito H. Cervantes was awarded for his apprehension of 507 tablets of ecstasy.

On 21 June 2017, there was a Holy Mass at POM Lobby.

And lastly, on 22 June 2017, the Volleyball exhibition game between BOC Transformers and POM, a cliff hanger as it reached the 5th and deciding set. The BOC Transformers remain victorious.
