Brief Narrative (July 16-20, 2018)
For the period July 16-20, 2018, Bureau of Customs, Port of Legazpi, had processed and recorded nine (9) entries, assessed with a total duties and taxes amounting to Php17,590,242.00, to wit:
Six (6) formal entries consigned to –
Apo Cement Corporation with a shipment of 6,390MT of Cement via MV Bothwin
Apo Cement Corporation with a shipment of 7,000MT of Cement via VSG Dream
National Food Authority with a shipment of 6,300MT of Rice via MV An Thinh Phu 08
National Food Authority with a shipment of 3,700MT of Rice via MV Globe 6
Goodfound Cement Corporation with a shipment of 6,100MT of Indonesian Steam Coal via MV Thanh Ba
Jadeco Farm with a shipment of 1,341 cattle and 12 pallets of barbed wire via MV Ocean Ute
There is one (1) export entry from Philippine Gold Processing and Refining Corp. (PGPRC) consisting of nineteen (19) boxes of Gold Dore weighing 333.8549kgs., for shipment to Switzerland.
Furthermore, there are also two (2) informal entries processed at Postal Naga assessed in the total amount of Php5,485.00.
Significant Events/Activities:
July 16, 2018: District Collector Arsenia C. Ilagan with Chief of Administrative Division, Minnette M. Arcilla and Property & Supply Officer, Marife A. Berdin, went to Tabaco City for a follow-up meeting with City Mayor Krisel L. Luistro in connection with the request for a usufruct agreement on a parcel of lot at the Sub-port of Tabaco. Said property at the pier site is intended to be used as a Customs Office. Mayor Luistro explained that this matter shall be subjected to a Resolution if approved by the Sangguniang Bayan (SG), in which case, the City Mayor shall be authorized to sign the usufruct agreement in behalf of the City Government of Tabaco. Also invited in the meeting was Engr. Roy Rañola who was tapped to prepare the perspective building plan and surveying of the lot which was further discussed with the Customs Group after the meeting with Mayor Luistro.
