Personnel from the Bureau of Customs-Port of Cagayan de Oro and its Sub-Port Iligan has undergone ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System (ISO QMS) related training conducted by the Interim Training and Development Division (ITDD) held in Customs House, Brgy. Macabalan, Cagayan de Oro on November 4-15, 2021.

Resource speakers include Mr. Rowel P. Linga and Mr. Benedict De Borja, facilitated by Ms. Nicole Alarcon which discussed topics on Quality Management System Foundation, Root Cause Analysis, Risk Management Principles and Guidelines, Comprehensive Training on 5S Program, Quality Management Systems Documentation.

The training aims to prepare the port for its ISO QMS certification journey to enhance the efficiency of the organization’s processes to meet customer requirements and expectations.

Participants also engaged in workshops to immerse themselves in ISO principles and QMS documentation.

The ISO certification is part of BOC’s bid towards becoming a modernized and credible Customs administration at par with international best practices.
