Picong Police Station turns over 20 boxes of cigarettes to Port of Iligan

The Picong Municipal Police Station turned over to the Bureau of Customs Sub-port of Iligan 20 boxes of seized illicit cigarettes on Thursday.

The cigarettes, branded as “President, were valued at P200,000. These were seized at Brgy. Biosong, Picong, Lanao del Sur led by PLT. Reagan Yap Adap, the Acting Chief of Police of Picong MPS.

Sub-port Collector Nasrudin D. Guro led the receipt of the illicit cigarettes together with the Enforcement and Security Service Sub-port of Iligan and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency representatives.

The seized goods will be returned to the BOC-ESS-Cagayan De Oro District Office for proper disposal.

The Sub-port of Iligan assured the public that the port would remain committed to the protection of the country’s borders against the proliferation of illicit goods.
