MICP Maintains ISO Certification After First Surveillance Audit

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) Manila International Container Port (MICP) was recommended for ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) re-certification by TUV SUD PSB Philippines Inc. on 3 July 2023, at the MICP Conference Room, North Harbor, Manila during its first Surveillance Audit.

The MICP has undergone and passed the first stage of the Quality Management System process last 31 May 2022. The external auditors recommended the ISO Certification of the Port after its 3-day final audit process conducted on 11-13 July 2022.

MICP District Collector Romeo Allan R. Rosales, in his closing message, congratulated MICP for once again passing the surveillance audit and urged everyone on the team to maintain their progress because the QMS is an ongoing process of development.

Moreover, District Collector Rosales thanked the auditors, process owners, and all the personnel who helped during the ISO journey of the Port. He also expressed his gratitude to the BOC Central Office for their support and encouragement to the MICP Team.

Under the direction of Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio, the BOC MICP pledges to further sustain its quality service to the stakeholders and the public thru the continuous improvement of existing customs processes and procedures.
