BOC NAIA Intercepts PhP12.9 Million Worth of Illegal Drugs

As part of the Bureau of Customs’ (BOC) strengthened anti-illegal drug campaign, the BOC-Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG), intercepted parcels containing kush, a high-grade marijuana, and ecstasy tablets with a total estimated street value of PhP12,996,700 on December 5, 2024, at the Central Mail Exchange Center (CMEC) in Pasay City.

The Bureau of Customs (BOC)—Port of Clark has foiled another drug smuggling attempt through the interception of a parcel that arrived on October 25, 2024, containing marijuana resin disguised as raw honey in plastic bottles from California, U.S.A.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) announced the successful exchange of the electronic Phytosanitary (e-Phyto) certificate between the Philippines and Indonesia through the ASEAN Single Window (ASW) regional platform during the 67th Meeting of the Working Group on Technical Matters for the ASW (TWG). The meeting was held via hybrid platform from June 10-13, 2024, at the ASEAN Headquarters in Jakarta, Indonesia.
