The Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Port of Clark, through its intensified border protection measures and with close coordination with the Customs Anti-Illegal Drug Task Force (CAIDTF), Enforcement & Security Service (ESS), Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS), X-ray Inspection Project (XIP) & Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), seized 500 grams of Ketamine worth Php2.5-million last June 21, 2022.

In furtherance of its commitment to prevent the entry of illegal drugs, the Bureau of Customs under the leadership of Commissioner Yogi Filemon L. Ruiz, Customs – NAIA, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG) conducted a controlled delivery operation on July 27, 2022, which led to the apprehension of a claimant in connection to seized Kush and Liquid Marijuana shipment.

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Port of Limay seized various used articles that were illegally withdrawn from a Freeport Registered Enterprise on July 15 and 16, 2022.

The Bureau of Customs – Port of Clark, together with the Customs Anti-Illegal Drug Task Force (CAIDTF), Enforcement & Security Service (ESS), Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS), X-ray Inspection Project (XIP) & Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), seized 129 capsules of Cocaine with an estimated value of Php 731,400.00 last July 20, 2022 which were discovered inside a shipment said to contain ‘shirts’.

Immediately after the turn-over ceremony on July 25, 2022, Yogi Filemon Ruiz, the newly appointed Bureau of Customs (BOC) Commissioner, led the inspection of the Atlas Express Padala, Inc. hub in Gerona, Tarlac to facilitate the delivery of the Balikbayan Boxes of our Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) from the Middle East. Accompanying him was Mr. Joel P. Longares, the Door-to-Door Consolidators Association of the Philippines (DDCAP) President.

Bureau of Customs – Port of Legazpi on July 20, 2022, took over 52 bundles of misdeclared imported used clothes or “ukay-ukay”, which were seized by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)- Sorsogon at Matnog Port in Sorsogon on July 13.
