The Bureau of Customs-Port of Zamboanga, together with its partner agencies, destroyed approximately 3,110 master cases and 1,372 reams of imported smuggled cigarettes with an estimated value of Php 110 million last 05 May 2022 in a customs-rented warehouse in Baliwasan, Zamboanga City.

Bureau of Customs (BOC), through the Enforcement and Security Service-Environmental Protection and Compliance Division (ESS-EPCD), officially receives five units of multi-refrigerant identifier equipment donated by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), through the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB), in a turn over ceremony on May 5, 2022.

The Bureau of Customs (BOC), through its Customer Assistance and Response Services (CARES) under the Public Information and Assistance Division (PIAD), celebrates the first anniversary of its partnership with Digital Minds Incorporated (DMI), a third party agency that provides Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services to cater to BOC stakeholders in resolving their concerns and complaints.

To provide the procedures in the Liquidation of Goods Declaration for Consumption by the Liquidation and Billing Division (LBD) or equivalent units in the Collection District, the Bureau of Customs issues CMO 09-2022 or the “Guidelines in the Implementation of the Liquidation and Billing System (LBS) and Post-Entry Modification of SAD by the LBD or Equivalent Unit”.

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Clark, together with the Customs Anti-Illegal Drug Task Force (CAIDTF), Enforcement & Security Service (ESS), Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS), X-ray Inspection Project (XIP), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), recorded another successful drug bust of 253 grams of Kush Marijuana with an estimated value of Php 328,900.00 and arrested two (2) claimants in a controlled delivery operations in Muntinlupa City.

Aligned with its primary mandate to collect lawful revenues for the country, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) collected a total of P65.7 billion against its P54.9 billion April 2022 target collection, posting a surplus of P10.769 billion or 19.6%.

Bureau of Customs, through the Assessment and Operations Coordinating Group and the Auction and Cargo Disposal Division, in collaboration with the Bureau of Treasury (BTr) and Land Bank of the Philippines, auctions off six units of forfeited luxury vehicles on April 27, 2022 at the BTr Auction Room, Ayuntamiento Building, Intramuros, Manila.

The Bureau of Customs–Port of Clark seized two (2) shipments containing 231 grams of Kush (Marijuana). The said cargoes originating from Spain were estimated to have a value of Php392,700.00.
