The Bureau of Customs may soon be able to provide decent and affordable housing units to their employees as exploratory talks have started regarding the agency’s housing project, initially for BOC personnel under OCOM, POM, MICP and NAIA.
Customs Commissioner instructed a select group of BOC officials to draft proposals on this latest initiative. This will be in collaboration with the Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-Ibig Fund). Employees are enjoined to take advantage of this privilege once all set.
Survey forms will be distributed by HRMD, BOCEA and Provident Fund to the employees in order to get their sentiments and be able to determine the most appropriate mode of payment so that it forms part of the project proposal. Accomplished forms will be gathered by the said groups as well.
A related seminar on housing and other Pag-Ibig loan products and services will be conducted at OCOM, POM and MICP on February 21 and at NAIA on February 24.
More details will be announced soon.###
