BOC-Port of Tacloban Holds Governance Sharing with EVMC and Philippine Army-BID

The Bureau of Customs – Port of Tacloban, in partnership with the Eastern Visayas Medical Center (EVMC) and the Philippine Army – 8th Infantry Division (PA-8ID) conducted a virtual Governance Sharing on October 29, 2021.

Organized and facilitated by the Port’s Office of Strategy Management (OSM), the activity was attended by the Medical Center Chief II of EVMC, Dr. Salvador B. Evardone, RN, MPH, FPAMS, CESE, together with Dr. Jenny Lind S. Lesiguez, FPOGS, OSM Head, and Dr. Sherylene A. Molon, QMS Head. The activity was likewise attended by members of the PA-8ID, namely, COL Erwin Rommel P. Lamzon, Acting Assistant Division Commander and Assistant Division Commander for Reservist and Retiree Affairs, and LT COL Jasper Justito M. Pecson(GSC) (INF), Officer-in-charge, Governance Strategy Management Office (GSMO).

Also present was District Collector Atty. Francis T. Tolibas together with the local OSM staff, namely, Ma. Charine Q. Tañega, Acting Chief, Administrative Division and Senior OSM Representative, Winston C. Aruta, Junior OSM Representative, and Alvin Jose A. Yutangco, Junior OSM Representative.

BOC – Port of Tacloban discussed its PGS Journey as well as its validated breakthroughs. EVMC likewise shared their PGS journey and best practices on governance while the Philippine Army – 8ID shared their breakthrough results as they already completed the PGS Governance Pathway.

District Collector Tolibas expressed his gratitude to the partner agencies and emphasized the importance of governance sharing as it expands cooperation while learning the best practices on the governance of each agency.
