The Bureau of Customs – Port of Subic, led by District Collector Carmelita M. Talusan, celebrated its 30th Founding Anniversary, marking three decades of unwavering commitment to excellence and service. The occasion commenced on June 17, 2023, and was celebrated with a month-long series of events focused on the community, personnel training, and recognition of stakeholders and partner agencies.

The celebration began with an outreach program named “Shoes for a Cause,” held on June 17, 2023, with the Aeta Community in Pastolan Village, Olongapo, Zambales. Another activity was the “Port of Subic Olympix,” which was launched by Coll. Talusan on June 24, 2023, and included Marksmanship Training, Fun Run, and Bike Ride. Prior to the event, a Marksmanship Training was conducted on June 19, 2023, by World Champion Jethro Dionisio and the District Collector. Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio graced the culminating ceremony on July 14, 2023.

During the ceremony, Port of Subic showcased its journey through the awarding of plaques of appreciation to its top importers and partner agencies. Additionally, a tribute was given to retiring personnel and past District Collectors.

The community involvement was an integral part of the anniversary program, demonstrating BOC – Port of Subic’s sincere commitment to the Filipino people. Furthermore, the fitness activities aimed to provide employees and stakeholders with a work-life balance. Lastly, the culminating ceremony was a heartfelt expression of gratitude to all stakeholders and partner agencies. Collectively, the founding anniversary was organized by the BOC – Port of Subic to express their sincerest gratitude to everyone who helped them reach their 30th year.#
