BOC Port of Manila gets ISO Certified
The Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Manila (POM) was awarded ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) Certification by TUV SUD on July 5, 2021, at the OCOM Conference Room, South Harbor, Manila.
The Port of Manila has undergone and passed the first stage of the Quality Management System process last May 20, 2021. The external auditors recommended the ISO Certification of the port after its 3-day final audit process on June 14-16.
Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero graced the closing conference and lauded POM for passing the final stage of the audit. In his closing message, the Commissioner reminded the team to sustain the gains, as this will be a continuous process.
Moreover, District Collector Michael Angelo Vargas thanked the auditors, process owners, and all the personnel who helped during the ISO journey of the port. He also expressed gratitude to the BOC Central Office for their extended support to the POM Team.
This ISO Certification is the second for the Port of Manila. Last December 2020, the Customer Care Center (CCC) became ISO Certified.
The BOC Port of Manila will continue to provide efficient and effective service for its stakeholders and the transacting public under the guidance of Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero.
