The Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Port of Legazpi will occupy a new office building early 2020 in Quezon Avenue Extension, Pier Site, Legazpi City, Albay.
The new customshouse, which is adjacent to the old building, can accommodate 50 employees. It has a floor area of 700 square meters with 9 office rooms, multipurpose hall, pantry room, lobby, conference room and quarters area. The rooms are provided with enough storage spaces, proper ventilation and complete with smoke detector & fire sprinkler system.
The project is in line with Ten-Point Priority Program of Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero on the enhancement of the BOC facilities. It is built to create a conducive working environment and designed to cater to the working needs of customs personnel and most importantly the requirements of the growing number of stakeholders.
According to Acting District Collector Alexander M. Go, the building is already 95% complete. Once the three-phase transformer is installed and all the essential permits are accomplished, the building will be turned over and ready for use.
