Bureau of Customs Port of Cebu Acting District Collector Ciriaco DG Ugay met with the members of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) on 01 June 2023 to discuss the current state of the economy in the Central Visayas Region, to explore ways to further improve business transactions as well as fortify the relationship between the Bureau of Customs and the business community.

Acting District Collector Ugay discussed the Bureau’s current initiatives to modernize and digitize customs processes. The members of the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry applauded the Bureau’s efforts to simplify customs procedures and enhance transparency.

“I cannot overemphasize the importance of collaboration between the Bureau of Customs and the business community to improve efficiency of customs processes and ensure the smooth flow of trade. I believe that by working hand in hand with local entrepreneurs and investors, we can drive economic growth and collect more revenues to support the priority programs of His Excellency President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.,” said Acting District Collector Ugay.

Under the leadership of Acting District Collector Ciriaco DG Ugay, and guidance from Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio, the Port of Cebu commits to fostering strong relations with the business community to boost economic growth.#
