BOC activates One-Stop-Shop in Aid to Typhoon Odette Relief Response

December 22, 2021

In response to the need to facilitate the rapid movement of donations and relief goods from the international community to the provinces devastated by super typhoon Odette, the Bureau of Customs (BOC), on 21 December 2021, directed all the District Collectors, to activate a One-Stop-Shop (OSS) in their respective ports to expedite the processing and release of all donated relief goods for the typhoon victims.

The OSS shall be available 24 hours and seven (7) days a week. It shall be responsible for coordinating with other concerned government agencies in the processing of donated relief goods to facilitate its immediate release.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has also organized the national One-Stop-Shop to handle all concerns relative to the upcoming donations.

Further, the BOC will follow the procedures and guidelines prescribed under the Joint Administrative Order 01-2020 on the Clearance of Relief Consignments entered during the State of Calamity.

In case of lacking documents, goods involving donations for relief consignment may be provisionally declared provided that the conditions under Customs Memorandum Order No. 07-2020 are met.

The Bureau of Customs will ensure the speedy processing of donations received by the country to respond to the needs of the Filipino people, especially at this critical time.
