ASEAN Announces the Live Electronic Exchange of the ASEAN Customs Declaration Document (ACDD) of the Philippines with Brunei and Indonesia

In an email to all ASEAN Members States (AMS), the ASEAN Secretariat has announced the live electronic exchange of the ASEAN Customs Declaration Document (ACDD) of the Philippines with Brunei and Indonesia starting May 13, 2022, using the ASEAN Single Window (ASW) system.

The ASEAN Customs Declaration Document (ACDD) includes fifteen (15) mandatory information parameters extracted from the Export Declaration (ED). Prior consent from the exporters is needed to allow the electronic exchange of ACDD. On the importing side, the ACDD aims to provide better visibility to various intelligence, enforcement, and monitoring system of Customs by providing advanced information, and supporting risk targeting and profiling activities.

The Philippines, through the Bureau of Customs, implemented the live electronic exchange of the ACDD on the following dates: Cambodia, Myanmar, and Thailand on January 21, 2022; Malaysia on January 25, 2022; Singapore on January 31, 2022; and Brunei and Indonesia on May 13, 2022. Full implementation will commence upon the issuance of the Customs Memorandum Order (CMO).

Lao PDR and Viet Nam are expected to join the ACDD live operation this year, with support from the Philippines, and the other ASEAN Member States.
