ADB lauds BOC NAIA in their Governance Sharing

As part of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) commitment to share best practices and foster coordination with other agencies, the Port of NAIA on October 29, 2021 conducted governance sharing of best practices with the Asia Developmenf Bank (ADB).

The meeting kicked off with the presentation of ADB priority projects and good coordination between the BOC and ADB.

On their part, the Port of NAIA shared its best practices as well as the milestones achieved by the Port through its modernization initiatives and reform program.

During the open forum, ADB Executive, Atty. Gerrard Anthony Paez, expressed his positive feedback to the efforts exerted by the Port of NAIA. “We were already impressed with Port of NAIA team in the conduct of this best sharing meeting, but ADB is even more impressed with the achievements of the Port of NAIA specially during this time of pandemic. We hope to explore more opportunities to work with BOC and the Port of NAIA” – Atty. Gerrard Anthony Paez

In her statement, Port of NAIA District Collector Carmelita M. Talusan thanked ADB for their initiatives in promoting economic growth and cooperation in the Asia-Pacific Region. Collector Talusan also assured that the Port of NAIA, under the direction of BOC Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero ,shall continue to strive to be an advocate of progressive society and healthy economy.
