BOC and CCIFP elevate collaboration for enhanced trade facilitation

To further strengthen relations between the bureau and the private sector, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and the Chamber of Commerce & Industry France Philippines (CCIFP) gathered in a networking luncheon meeting on February 27, 2024, in Makati City.
Managing Director of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Philippines, Kevin Charuel, expressed confidence in the collaborative efforts of exploring new opportunities with the BOC under the leadership of Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio.

Commissioner Rubio, along with Deputy Commissioner Vener Baquiran of the Assessment and Operations Coordinating Group, Deputy Commissioner Clarence Dizon of the Revenue Collection Monitoring Group, and Atty. Jenny P. Diokno, Officer-in-Charge, Port Operations Service, acknowledged the significance of engaging with* formidable individuals from reputable business organizations. He emphasized the role of the Chamber in driving innovation, creating jobs, and contributing to the economic development of both France and the Philippines.

The meeting covered various activities, including a presentation of BOC’s accomplishments and priority programs. The bureau showcased its achievements in 2023 and outlined plans and programs for the current year.

The exchange of dialogues was also one of the highlights of the event and gave the attendees a chance to deliberate on important matters concerning trade practices. This interactive discussion not only fosters engagement but also serves as an important juncture for participants to share insights, perspectives, and expertise, thereby contributing to a more comprehensive understanding and collaborative exchange of ideas of various aspects of trade industry.
