The Bureau of Customs (BOC) participated in celebrating the 13th anniversary of the Philippine Tax Academy (PTA) under the Department of Finance. This momentous occasion marks a robust collaboration aimed at achieving greater tax efficiency and excellence in public finance.

The BOC’s association with the PTA is rooted in a shared objective, as the Academy plays a vital role in providing training for the knowledge, moral fitness, efficiency, and capabilities of BOC officials and personnel.

During the commemorative event, BOC Assistant Commissioner Vincent Philip Maronilla delivered an inspiring message, acknowledging the collective efforts of tax collectors and administrators in enhancing the country’s revenue collection efficiency.

The discussions centered on crucial aspects such as strategies, tools, and best practices, along with key initiatives and priorities to bolster the nation’s overall tax effort and revenue generation. These initiatives are fully aligned with the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028.
