Port Of Cagayan De Oro Engages Stakeholders In 3rd Webinar On Latest Customs Policies

The Bureau of Customs-Port of Cagayan de Oro (BOC-CDO) successfully conducted its 3rd Webinar on Latest Customs Policies and Operations on October 26, 2021, via Zoom platform and Facebook live stream participated by various stakeholders of the port including employees and members of the academe.

Among the speakers were Deputy Collector for Operations Coll. Elizabeth Delas Llagas, Asst. Chief of Assessment MCT Melchor Rabo and Chief of CIIS CDO Field Station Oliver Valiente.

Topics discussed include Updates on Electronic Tracking of Containerized Cargo, Automated Routing Management System on Goods Declaration and Standard Reporting of Photos and Videos Using the Geotag.

Stakeholders of the port were also given a chance to raise questions during the open forum addressed by the speakers. Most of the questions raised were about assessment because of the new Automated Routing Management System which replaced GDVS.

In her opening remarks, District Collector Atty. Elvira Cruz said the webinar is aimed to engage employees and stakeholders in the latest customs policies that will help the ease-of-doing-business in the Port of CDO.

The said virtual conference is in line with the memorandum of the Commissioner on providing stakeholders with current information on policies, operations, and reforms of the port.
