In line with the Performance Governance System (PGS) initiatives of the Bureau of Customs, the Port of Iloilo through its Local Office for Strategy Management (OSM) organized a governance and best practice sharing with the 61st Infantry (Hunter) Battalion of the Philippine Army (PA) on October 29, 2021 at the Iloilo Customhouse, Iloilo City.
The said activity served as a venue for both agencies to share and adopt workable measures towards the achievement of their PGS deliverables. Among those who attended the activity were the Port’s Deputy Collectors, Division Chiefs and Local OSM members.
Battalion Executive Officer, Maj. Michael B. Malunes presented their PGS journey which was started in 2010. He also shared their best practices that significantly contributed to the realization of their Army Transformation Roadmap.
Meanwhile, Ms. Jocelyn H. Dofitas, Acting Asst. Administrative Chief and Junior OSM Representative of the Port discussed the Port of Iloilo’s PGS journey including its major initiatives such as the launching of Customer Care Center, creation of Customs Border Protection (CBP) – District VI Team, and establishment of lactation room/clinic.
The Port of Iloilo under the active leadership of District Collector Ciriaco D. Ugay remains committed to support the reforms and innovations brought about by the PGS of the Bureau.
