On November 22, 2021, Atty. Ruperto J. Bustamante, Deputy Collector for Administration, Sergio B. Alvarado IV, Deputy Collector for Operations, SA1 Samuel M. Delos Santos and, SG Jubilita Reyes of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Limay, together with Engr. Vicente Cecilio R. Gallo, Amalia B. Apolonio, Lorna J. Morales and Melencio H. Araracap of BOC-Port of NAIA, conducted a joint site visit at the Petron Bataan Refinery.
Petron Bataan Refinery (PBR) Operations Manager, Francis Reotutar, OM&S Terminalling Manager, Ronaldo Tadena, Refinery Finance Manager, Cecilia Sengia, and Safety Supervisor Nicanor Bantog conducted a walkthrough on the refinery.
The joint conference seeks to find out the process flow of Jet A1 importation and how to facilitate said activity while protecting the government’s revenue. The discussions include the documentary requirements, Petron’s business process and supply chain management, and other relevant issuances on the processing of said importation.
The Bureau of Customs, under the leadership of Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero, together with the Port of Limay headed by District Collector Atty. William B. Balayo and the Port of NAIA headed by District Collector Carmelita Talusan, will remain committed to strengthening partnership and cooperation with its stakeholders to ensure compliance with the existing customs laws, rules, and regulations.
