BRIEFER: 12-17 JUNE AT THE POM

In sum, the Port of Manila processed a total of 5,318 Entries – ranging from Transshipment, Warehousing, Export, Formal and Informal – generally for the period of 12 – 17 June 2017, among which 49 Balikbayan boxes were processed.

Seven (7) Warrants of Seizure and Detention (WSD) were issued by the Law Division but no auction proceedings for said period.

The week was opened by a Joint Flag Raising Ceremony at the POM Grounds in celebration of the 119th Anniversary of Philippine Independence entitled “Kalayaan 2017: Pagbabagong Sama-samang Balikatin”.

On 15 June 2017, POM personnel and its stakeholders witnessed the soft launching of Port of Manila Hymn sung by the POM Chorale as introduction to the POM video, a compilation of POM Corporate Social Responsibility Programs. It was the same venue for the revelation of the “TSTP” Quizzical Series” at the POM lobby, which stands for “Tapat na Serbisyo para sa Tunay na Pagbabago”, with notices and tarpaulins prominently posted at different areas of the POM respecting the same subject matter. Later that week, the said video presentation was also included in the BOC Video presentation at the OCOM Lobby.
