The Bureau of Customs (BOC)-Port of Limay and BOC-Subport of Mariveles held launching ceremony, led by District Collector Atty. William B. Balayo, on 05 April 2022 as the port welcomed two (2) fast patrol boats at the Port of Capinpin, Brgy Lati, Orion, Bataan.
The Fast Patrol Boats, manned by skilled Customs Police personnel, have the capability to engage and interdict smugglers at sea. The ceremony aimed to inform the public of the improved capabilities of the Bureau and to cement the bond of collaboration and partnership between the Bureau and other Law Enforcement Agencies against smugglers and purveyors of anti-social goods.
Present during the event were representatives from the Office of the Provincial Governor of Bataan, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Philippine Ports Authority Official, Philippine Coast Guard, Metro Bataan Development Authority, Bureau of Immigration, Bureau of Quarantine, Philippine National Police, Department of Defense-Arsenal, and Local Government Units of Mariveles and Limay.
The BOC-Port of Limay remains steadfast in its efforts to pursue the Bureau’s mandate on border security, border control, and trade facilitation under the vigilant leadership of BOC Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero.
