The Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Port of Davao through its local Office of the Strategy Management (OSM), distributed booklets of the Code of Conduct of Rules of Ethics for the employees of the said Port last June 4, 2021.
The OSM is the lead Office of the BOC in charge of attaining the 4-year strategic roadmap (Initiation, Compliance, Proficiency and Institutionalization) under the Performance Governance System (PGS) – a holistic and collaborative framework for designing and executing paths to long-term governance reform under the Institute for Solidarity in Asia (ISA).
This initiative is part of its Integrity Development Program, aiming to promote transparency and honesty among BOC personnel and as public servants in the government. Further, it serves as a guiding principle for public service as one of the revenue collecting agencies of the country.
To ensure that the employees take to heart the contents of the booklet, the OSM eyes to conduct monthly online examination to assess their application of the code of conduct in their specific work fields of the BOC.
The Code Conduct Booklet was published based on the contents of Customs Memorandum Order (CMO) 12-2002 and was introduced last February 1, 2002.
