BOC Davao strengthens ties with partner agencies, distributes 2020 Accomplishment Report

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Port of Davao has distributed its 2020 Accomplishment Reports for its partner regulating, enforcement agenies and the Local Government Units (LGU) in Davao, Dadiangas, Parang, and Mati, June 16, 2021.

Among the agencies and offices that have received the report were the Philippine Coast Guard-Coast Guard District of Southeastern Mindanao, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), Mindanao Development Authority (Minda) and among others who continue to play a crucial role in strengthening the Port’s core mandates in trade facilitation, border protection, and revenue collection.

The annual report was also distributed for the partner private institutions and the employees of the BOC Davao.

For the year 2020, BOC Davao exceeded its annual revenue collection target of 24.66 Billion pesos by collecting a total collection of 30.48 Billion pesos by 5.82 Billion Pesos. In addition, during the same year, the Port was able to apprehend various illicit goods having a total estimated value of 38.92 million pesos.

For this year, the Port eyes to continue if not exceed such feat, led by District Collector, Atty. Erastus Sandino B. Austria, under the guidance of BOC Commissioner, Rey Leonardo Guerrero and Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III.
