Last December 4, 2017, Commissioner Isidro S. Lapeña visited the Port of Legazpi with Dep. Comm. of IAG Gladys Rosales and Dep. Comm of IG Gen. Ricardo Quinto (Ret.) to have a person to person talk with the personnel and to address the concerns of the Port.

Brief Narrative (December 4-8, 2017)
Bureau of Customs, Port of Legazpi recorded one (1) filed formal entry for the first week of December, the 5,900.00 MT of Zinc Slag from Japan via MV “XIU SHAN” consigned to the Goodfound Cement. Seven (7) informal entries were also completed amounting to Php 30,399.00 from Naga Postal in Camarines Sur. There is also one (1) recorded completed export entry of 15 boxes of Gold Dore from Philippine Gold Processing & Refining Corporation in Masbate. These totaled to nine (9) entries for December 4 to 8, 2017.
Last December 4, 2017, Commissioner Isidro S. Lapeña with Dep. Comm. Rosales and Dep. Comm. Quinto, arrived at Port of Legazpi to have a person to person talk with the personnel and discuss the concerns of the Port. In his visit, he also discussed the “tara system” and bench marking and how the Bureau is losing a lot of money because of these practices. He also promoted the Incentive Reward System provided by the attrition law.
