Port of Iloilo and Sub-port of Pulupandan for Week of June 2-9, 2017

For the week of June 02-09, 2017, there only one (1) formal entry was completed out of four (4) formal entries filed in Port of Iloilo and the remaining three (3) entries are in progress. Also, one (1) informal entry was filed and completed.

For the Sub-port of Pulupandan, there were five (5) formal entries filed; two (2) entries were completed and the other three (3) entries are in progress. A total of two (2) informal entries were filed and completed.

To summarize, the entire District of Iloilo has a total of twelve (12) entries filed: formal and informal entries.

There are no reports for balikbayan boxes, auction and alert orders.

A warrant of Seizure and Detention has been issued to Seon-Ui Lions Club for the eight (8) boxes of assorted Korean Medicines and Medical Supplies. Wherein, the said group of Korean passengers arrived at Kalibo International Airport (KIA) from Flight No. 5J 181 from Incheon, Korea brought the above-mentioned articles and was not able to present/secure the clearance from the Department of Health (DOH).

A notice of Declaration of Abandonment was received by Leslie Ann C. Panes in behalf of Alfie Joy Niego, consignee/importer of the one (1) box STC 100 pcs. Skin Volume Powder Pact and one (1) box STC 1, 125 pcs. Eye Shadow. Wherein, no import entry has been filed at this port within fifteen (15) days from the date of discharge of the last package and no extension time has been recorded with this office which is in violation of Section 407 of Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).

There will be an upcoming Corporate Social Responsibility activity on June 13, 2017, the team will donate school shoes and school supplies at Don Bosco Boys’ Home and Training Center, Dumangas. Also, there will be an upcoming in-house seminar on “Customer Service” this Monday, June 19, 2017 which will be held at Assessment Division, Iloilo Customs House.

Three (3) Job Order Personnel in the person of Ms. Marian Herezo, Ms. Xandra Deatras and Mr. Denick Forro attended the Learning Session on the “Overview of the Bureau of Customs” on June 7, 2017 at President’s Room, Customs Capacity Building Center, 4th Floor, POM Building, South Harbor, Port Area, Manila.

Furthermore, the Seminar on Values Formation with the Theme: “Wings to fly: Beginning with Me and continuing with US” was triumphant. Indeed the speaker, Mr. Jerome Rojo Eslabra delivered and left the Customs Personnel of this port a bucket full of knowledge and overflowing life realization. #
