NARRATIVE REPORT
February 2-15, 2018
In the midst of the ongoing image-rebuilding program of the Bureau, for the first time in the history of this port, employees of BOC-Port of Iloilo joined the procession of the Feast of Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria on February 2, 2018.
On April 21, 1982, Blessed Pope John Paul II named Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria as Patroness of Western Visayas. Both canonical coronation and the naming of the image as Patroness are official recognitions of what has already been a fact in the spiritual life not just of the people of Panay but also of the whole Western Visayas, and those who trace their roots to the locale.
In line with the recognition of the historical value of Iloilo Customs House Building by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines, a turnover ceremony of the restored Iloilo Customs House building was held on Friday, February 09, 2018. The ceremony was spearheaded by Executive Director Ludovico D. Badoy of NHCP. The successful event was embraced by the men and women of BOC-Port of Iloilo with the firm leadership of Collector John M. Simon.
For the period of February 2-15, 2018, the Collection District of Iloilo has a total 34 entries filed which are composed of exports, formal and informal entries.
At the main port, 10 informal entries and 11 exports were filed and completed. 11 formal entries were filed, two (2) entries were completed and nine (9) entries are still in progress. For the Sub-port of Pulupandan, two (2) formal entries were completed.
There are no reports for upcoming seminars balikbayan boxes, auctions, alert orders, apprehensions, warrant of seizure and detention. #
