1 June 5, 2018, the Philippine Coast Guard Legazpi turnover four (4) sacks of used clothing or ukay-ukay to Legazpi Customs.
2 June 6, 2018, District Collector Arsenia C. Ilagan, visited National Food Authority (NFA) Legazpi and met with Provincial Manager Alan S. Sabaybay, to discuss possible incoming rice importation for the year 2018.
3 June 6, 2018, District Collector Arsenia C. Ilagan, visited National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and discussed the information sharing between Legazpi Customs and NBI with Regional Director Thomas Enrile.
4 June 6, 2018, Collector Arsenia C. Ilagan had a courtesy call with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Director Christian Frivaldo to discuss close coordination with regards to border protection against vessel carrying illegal drugs.

Brief Narrative (June 4-8, 2018)

For the period June 4-8, 2018, Bureau of Customs, Port of Legazpi, had processed and recorded five (5) entries assessed with a total duties and taxes amounting to Php2,305,742.23, to wit:
Two (2) formal entries consigned to –
Apo Cement Corporation with a shipment of 6,382MT Portland Cement via MV Bothwin 7; and
Davao Multibuild Corporation with a shipment of 5,000MT Portland Cement via MV Phuong Nam 68
There is also three (3) informal entries processed at Postal Naga assessed in the amount of Php8,160.00.

Significant Events/Activities for June 4-8, 2018:
June 5, 2018: Philippine Coast Guard Legazpi turned-over four (4) sacks of used clothing or ukay-ukay to Legazpi Customs. The said used clothing were apprehended at Tabaco port and supposed to be delivered to Virac, Catanduanes.
June 6, 2018: District Collector, Arsenia C. Ilagan with Chief of Administrative Division, Ms. Minnette M. Arcilla, visited the National Food Authority (NFA) Legazpi and met with NFA Provincial Manager Alan S. Sabaybay, to discuss the incoming rice importations for the year. She also had a courtesy call with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Regional Director, Tomas Enrile, and expressed the benefit of working hand-in-hand with the bureau, especially in the prevention of the entry and proliferation of drugs in the Region through the information sharing and enforcement assistance. Border protection against entry of illegal drugs was further tackled during her courtesy call to Regional Director Christian Frivaldo of Philippine Drugs Enforcement Agency (PDEA). The two government officials agreed to work closely together in the monitoring of cocaine and other illegal drugs brought in thru vessels docking at the different ports of the region. Proper coordination in the clearance of passengers and their baggage on the expected arrival of direct flights from South Korea on July 2018 was also discussed.
