The Bureau of Customs (BOC) passed the Compliance Stage of the Performance Governance System (PGS) and received the Gold Governance Trailblazer award, the highest PGS award during the Public Governance Forum – BOC Compliance Revalida via Zoom Meeting on November 10, 2020.

During the Compliance Revalida organized by the Institute for Solidarity in Asia (ISA), Commissioner of Customs Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero presented the BOC’s performance and compliance reports, programs and innovations and its drive in ensuring the alignment of resources and stakeholders to the 4-year Strategic Roadmap which aims to transform the Bureau into a world-class Customs Administration by 2022.

Among the initiatives the Bureau presented, which are aligned to its 10-Point Priority Program 2020, are the (1) full automation of processes including the implementation of No Contact Policy and establishment of Customer Care Centers, (2) development of Universal Risk Management System which improves the risk management capabilities of the Bureau, (3) Implementation of the Internal Administration Management System, and all other projects and programs.
