BOC, USAID API Project Collaborate for ACDD Training Session, Enhancing ASEAN Customs Practices
The Bureau of Customs (BOC) recently concluded a highly productive and insightful training session on the ASEAN Customs Declaration Document (ACDD) in collaboration with the USAID ASEAN Policy Implementation (API) Project. The training session brought together officials from the BOC who are responsible in the implementation of the ACDD and the operation of the BOC’s ACDD Management Portal, aiming to enhance customs practices across ASEAN member countries.

Delegates from the United States Mission to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and United States Agency for International Development’s ASEAN Policy Implementation (USAID API) Project and Customs Commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz agreed to broaden economic integration and meet the Philippines’ commitment to digitizing trade processes and optimizing intra-ASEAN trade potential.
The Bureau of Customs implements trade facilitation initiatives under the technical assistance provided by the USAID API Project, whose officials recently paid a courtesy call to Ruiz.

BOC Distributes 1,996 Abandoned Balikbayan Boxes to Recipients
A total of 1,996 unpaid and abandoned balikbayan boxes have been distributed by the Bureau of Customs (BOC) to their intended recipients since July this year, 1,667 of which were delivered while 329 boxes were picked up by consignees at designated warehouses.
The delivered packages included 1,450 boxes consigned to CMG International Movers and Cargo Services.
The 30 remaining boxes remain undelivered due to incomplete information, no confirmation or no response was received from recipients/senders.
