Brief Narrative (July 9-13, 2018)

For the period July 9-13, 2018, Bureau of Customs, Port of Legazpi, had processed and recorded eight (8) entries assessed with a total duties and taxes amounting to Php12,311,120.00, to wit:
Six (6) formal entries consigned to –
Apo Cement Corporation with a shipment of 7,000MT of Cement via VSG Dream
Jadeco Farm with a shipment of 1,341 cattle and 12 pallets of barbed wire via MV Ocean Ute
National Food Authority with a shipment of 6,300MT of Rice via MV An Thinh Phu 08
National Food Authority with a shipment of 3,700MT of Rice via MV Globe 6
Goodfound Cement Corporation with a shipment of 6,100MT of Indonesian Steam Coal via MV Thanh Ba
Goodfound Cement Corporation with a shipment of 36,300MT of Cement Clinker via
MV Dali

There are also two (2) informal entries processed at Postal Naga assessed in the total amount of Php3,879.00.

Significant Events/Activities:
July 12, 2018: District Collector Arsenia C. Ilagan and Deputy Collector for Operations, Atty. Irineo R. Onia, Jr., visited Philippine National Police- Maritime Group (PNP-MG) in Rawis, Legazpi City, for a courtesy call with Regional Chief PSSUPT Joriz Almodiel Cantoria to seek the support of PNP-MG regarding inter-agency coordination and information sharing. Through this visit, the Port was also able to know and clarify the jurisdiction and function of PNP-MG and vice versa. PSSUPT. Cantoria agreed to provide assistance to Customs Legazpi and provide information connected to the mandate of Bureau of Customs to ensure that no illegal drugs, smuggled and prohibited goods will enter the Bicol Region.
