1 May 10, 2018, Commissioner Isidro S. Lapeña with Deputy Commissioner for Internal Administration Group, Gladys F. Rosales and Chief of General Services Division, Gladys F. Estrada visited Bureau of Customs, Collection District V, to have the person to person talk with the Personnel of BOC Legazpi.
2 The Commissioner also had a meeting with Acting Port Manager, Ms. Fatima D. Reaso and Acting Terminal Supervisor, Engr. Antonio L. Balacano, Jr. of Phillipine Ports Authority Legazpi and later on proceeded to PPA Tabaco to meet with the Division Manager, Mr. Romeo B. Perez, Jr. together with other BOC Officials.

Brief Narrative (May 7-11, 2018)

For the 2nd week of May, Bureau of Customs, Port of Legazpi, recorded a total of five (5) formal entries. These are the four (4) completed formal entries: the 8,547.00MT of Coal via TB Everline 9/BG Everline 5; the 6,100.00MT of Synthetic Gypsum via MV Aquamarine; 8,520.00MT of Coal via TB Highline/ BG Massive 2 and 6,100.00MT of Phospho Gypsum via MV Than Thuy all of which consigned to Goodfound Cement Corporation while the 6,386.00MT of Cement via MV BOTHWIN 7 consigned to Apo Cement Corporation is still in-progress. There is also one (1) informal entry from Naga Postal amounting to Php4,398.00. These totaled to six (6) entries for the week of May 7 to 11, 2018 with assessed duties and taxes amounting to Php15,321,588.00.
On May 10, 2018, the Port of Legazpi welcomed Commissioner Isidro S. Lapeña, Deputy Commissioner for Internal Administration Group, Gladys F. Rosales and Chief of General Services Division, Gladys F. Estrada who conducted a port visit in order to address the current problems of the port and various concerns of the customs personnel. More importantly, the Commissioner took time to talk to Engr. Rafael Borbe to review the blue print and lay-out for the construction of the new Legazpi Customshouse.
Commissioner Lapena maximized his time by having a meeting with Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) Legazpi’s Acting Port Manager, Ms. Fatima D. Reaso and the Acting Terminal Supervisor, Engr. Antonio L. Balacano, Jr. The group, accompanied by District Collector Arsenia C. Ilagan and other BOC Legazpi’s officials proceeded later to the Sub-port of Tabaco for another meeting with PPA Tabaco’s Division Manager, Mr. Romeo B. Perez, Jr., and discussed the possibility of having a customs office thereat, by sharing a portion of an abandoned lot within the port zone which being requested from the City of Tabaco.
